Make-up Trend: Matte Red Lips

Up your pout with a bold red, like Mughda Godse's lipstick, but tone it down a touch by eschewing glossiness in favor of a matte finish.

Fill in lips with a red pencil before applying lipstick. Then set the lipstick and soak up its oils with a fine dusting of translucent powder.

Who's the fairest of them all? Kareena Kapoor's rich, ivory skin looked picture perfect. With a complexion so porcelain and alabaster, her make-up artist Mickey Contractor chooses makeup shades in their sheerest formulation for her on the first issue of Harper's Bazaar India.

The right makeup shades aren't necessarily the palest. Look for formulas that are ultra-sheer, with a minimum amount of pigment, so that even deep shades can look subtle and natural.
