Kajol, Priyanka, and Amisha on Powder Foundations

Kajol and Priyanka have given a whole new meaning to dusky skin in Bollywood. While Amisha Patel has the traditional peaches 'n cream skin. All these ladies have one thing in common, with or without make-up they all look as beautiful. But, of course everyone needs to look picture-perfect when it comes to movies. They all share their favorite foundations.

Kajol swears by Guerlain Divinora Compact Powder Foundation, it gives her the perfect coverage with her combination skin.

Priyanka loves Clinique Super Balanced Compact Powder, she says, "this cream to powder finish works wonderfully with her dry skin.

Amisha says, "Nothing touches my face except Giorgio Armani Designer Foundation. I love the richness of the foundation. " She also adds, "This gives the skin full coverage with a dewy finish, just the way she likes it."

Make-up Trend: Subtly Sun-Kissed Skin

We shun the sun these days. A deep tan wouldn't seem right mid-winter. Sonam Kapoor looks healthy with bronze cheeks.

Instead of powders and creams, try a liquid bronzer that will soak right into bare skin. Mix a drop of Physician's Formula Organic Wear with tinted moisturizer on a sponge wedge, then spread over face, neck and cheeks.

Internationally, it’s a best-selling color, though desi women are still shy when it comes to red lipsticks. But there’s no time like Valentine's Day to let go of inhibitions. Hit the make-up counters to find your shade of red. And once you have the shade you like, follow advice from experts on the best way to paint the town red.

Susan Sterling, make-up artist for Chanel, says red signifies femininity, strength and a touch of audacity. She says the key to finding the right red for your skin tone lies in testing the color directly on the lips to discover the perfect shade.

Vimi Joshi, senior make-up artist, M.A.C, Middle East and India, says to wear red, you need to have a level of confidence. “It gives the message that I’m strong, I’m stunning and I know who I am,” she says.

There’s a right way to apply red lipstick: “Get perfect red lips by defining the shape of the lips with a lip pencil, fill in the entire lip area, then apply the lipstick over that with a lip brush—it’s precise and helps control the application of color,” says Vimi. Though she says pinky-nudes are top-sellers in Pakistan and India, she urges desi women to try out a red. “It brings out the olive in your skin tone and makes teeth and skin look brighter,” she adds

"To get a step closer, start out with nuances of plums and deep shades of berry, that have a touch of gold iridescence in them; the warmth of the gold enhances the skin’s tone," says Vimi

Here is a list of Vimi's favorite lipsticks:
