Make-up Trend: Liquid Eyeliner

Makeup artist Cory Walia used Mark products on Deepika Padukone, including Liquid Eyeliner in Cleo (a rich, black shade) and four coats of plumping mascara to get her eye-enhancing look.

Experiment a little with liquid liner. If the line looks uneven or too heavy, top it with the eyeshadow you applied to your lids—flaws are hidden and the thickness of the black is toned down.

S/S 09 Make-up Trend: Raghavendra Rathore

A conservative collection for Raghavendra Rathore marked a rich conservative hair trend for the models on his catwalk, who appeared with sleek, poker straight hair offset with a pop of color on the face: red (YSL Pure Lipstick in 131 Opium Red) or fuchsia lips (YSL Pure Lipstick in 19 Fuchsia Pink).

"The idea is to emphasize quiet luxury," explained make-up artist Clint Fernandes. "The look is sensual but at the same time fresh and contemporary. Think rich girl; it's about polished skin and a natural perfection; I achieved this look by pressing a few drops of foundation (Make Up For Ever HD Invisible Cover Foundation) on to their skin to warm up the complexion. Next I blended a cream blush (NARS The Multiple in Riviera) on the cheeks in a triangular shape to create a fresh, natural flush."
